Limited Warranty and Liability on Used Parts

Our free standard warranty covers all used parts except airbags, seat belt assemblies, and tyres for three months.

What is not covered

  1. Part accessories sent with the part for the convenience of installation.

  2. Parts applied to the wrong make, model, or year of vehicle – It is the buyer's responsibility to research and determine whether the items will fit their particular application.

  3. Airbags, tires, and seat belts, which are sold "as is" and may not be returned.

  4. Labour costs or shipping costs you incur for installation of parts you purchase from Classic and Prestige Auto Services.

This warranty only applies to the original purchaser, and to the vehicle in which the product was originally installed and/or used and is not transferable. In the event of a warranty failure, Classic and Prestige Auto Services Pty Ltd will repair, replace, or refund the purchase price, at our discretion. Warranties are limited to the retail price paid for the product and begin from original purchase date. Labour is not considered or offered on any salvage product. The warranty is limited to part replacement only.

Engine Warranties

Although we are offering a “Long Block” (engine block and cylinder head), certain accessories may be included with your engine. These items, although provided at no charge, are not covered under your limited warranty. Items such as manifolds, intake and exhaust, sensors, and other electrical components may look similar, but may not always be correct for your specific application. You must always be sure to use the correct parts for your vehicle, even if it means transferring them from your old engine.

ONLY the components listed in this section (NO LABOUR) are covered under the standard warranty for engine replacement for 3 months from the date of purchase:

  1. Cylinder Head(s)

  2. Engine Block

  3. Head Gasket

  4. All Internal Lubricated Parts

  5. Crankshaft

  6. Camshaft

  7. Pistons

  8. Valves & lifters

  9. Oil Pump

  10. Engine Timing Components (Timing Belts are not covered and should be replaced prior to installation)

Standard Warranties

For the standard warranty to be applicable, the following must exist:

  1. Repair estimate and prior approval

  2. Proof of maintenance must be provided

To validate your warranty, certain parts must be replaced or serviced prior to installing your replacement engine. This work will need to be proven in order to validate any warranty claim. Those items include:

  1. Front and rear oil seals

  2. Thermostat and coolant

  3. Clean the oil pan and pickup tube

  4. Replace the timing belt and tensioners if needed

  5. Check and replace if necessary; belts, hoses, sparks plugs and wires

  6. Replace flywheel and flywheel bolts

  7. Change oil, oil filter, air filter, and fuel filter

  8. Service cooling system, flush or replace radiator. Water pump replacement is also recommended.

Your engine may have the optional accessories attached for convenience, but are not covered under the warranty. Those items include but are not limited to:

  • Alternator

  • A/C Compressor

  • Air Cleaner Assembly

  • Brackets

  • Balancers

  • Distributor

  • Engine Computers

  • Exhaust Manifold

  • Gaskets

  • Intake Manifold

  • Intake Manifold

  • Wire Harness

  • Starter Valve Covers (s)

  • Water Pumps

  • Oil Pan Sensors and Switches

  • Steering Pump

  • Supercharger

  • Turbocharger

  • Timing Cover (s)

  • Throttle Body

  • Injector(s)

  • Timing Belt

  • Bolts

  • Mounts

  • Fuel Rail

  • Ignition coils

  • Spark plugs and Wires

NOTE: New oil and filters must be installed for warranty to be valid. Radiator should be cleaned and flushed.

Warranty Process

It is the customer’s responsibilities to contact us. Through either:

  1. Email at classicandprestige@hotmail.com before your warranty period expires; or

  2. Phone before your warranty period expires.

Please include the order number and details of the issue with your part.

Once done we review and respond. We may:

  • Request photos of the part or parts in question, and your VIN.

  • We may replace the part with a functionally equivalent part.

  • We may ask you to return the part for repairs.

  • We may refund you the cost of the part, including your shipping costs.

  • We reserve the right to inspect any item prior to refund or replacement.

Warranty limitations

The buyer hereby acknowledges that due to the nature of used auto parts, any liability of Classic and Prestige Auto Services Pty Ltd for all causes shall be limited to the price paid for the goods sold or provided. If a part sold by Classic and Prestige under warranty fails to operate, liability shall be limited to the replacement of the part or a remedy not to exceed the price paid for the part, at Classic and Prestige’s option.

All warranties are null and void if:

  • The vehicle is converted from a private passenger use to commercial or fleet use; or

  • Is used for racing or other competition or off-road recreational purposes; or

  • Failure is caused by abuse, misuse, or modifications; or

  • Failure is caused by using the part for any use other than what was intended or recommended by the manufacturer; or

  • The part fails or becomes defective due to the vehicle being involved in a collision; or

  • The part is installed or operated outside Australia; or

  • The installed heat tab centre is melted or removed; or

The part is sold "as is" as indicated on the front of the sales invoice or in a statement of terms on the website.
